Karin hails from Saint Louis Missouri where she started singing at a young age in several local show bands. She played as part of USO Entertainment touring Japan, Philippines, Korea, Newfoundland, Greenland, Australia, for the United States military.

Karin has performed alongside renowned performers such as the Doobie Brothers, Tim McGraw, Johnny Paycheck, David Frizzell and many more.

Since the 1980s, Karin has been a hometown favorite in Santa Cruz, California.  She performs as lead singer and guitar in several bands, duo groups and solo.  Since 1990, her well-known and favored band, "Phoenix Rising" has showcased her versatile voice in many styles of music including pop, rock, R&B, country and blues.  Her wide range of styles covers popular music for all age groups.

Karin is also known for her performances at the Capitola Theater  (1994-2011) including: "A Tribute to Patsy Cline,” "Tribute to Romance” and the musical, "The Cole Porter Review." where she wrote, directed and starred as Patsy Cline.

Today, she spends time both in Santa Cruz and Saint Louis performing rock, jazz, country and other popular music to small and large audiences. Her work with the Young At Heart non-profit has brought a lot of good cheer to health care facilities through Santa Cruz, Monterey and Santa Clara counties.
